In accordance with diocesan guidelines, the following sacraments require a TWO YEAR preparation period. Parents are required to attend designated gatherings for preparing children for each sacrament.

First Reconciliation

The catechesis for the sacrament of Reconciliation is a gradual process beginning in Year One of Faith Formation.  Year Two continues with a specific teaching on God’s love for all creation, the human condition, awareness of sin, and the desire for God’s forgiveness.  The sacrament is celebrated before the First Eucharist.   Please contact the Faith Formation Office at 630-894-5880 for more information.

First Eucharist (First Communion)

Preparation for the Sacrament of Eucharist is rooted in the Level One curriculum, and continues during Level Two.  The teaching is heightened through learning about and participating in weekly Mass.  The Sacrament is typically celebrated at the conclusion of the second year of Faith Formation.   Please contact the Faith Formation Office at 630-894-5880 for more information.

BRIDGES TO FAITH

  • Do you have a child who is not baptized and has not attended Faith Formation classes?

Our Bridges to Faith program is designed specifically for your child!  Under the guidance of a team of faith-filled catechists, your child will learn to develop their prayer life, have an introduction to worship, and learn the basic doctrines of the Catholic Faith.  This is a two year program which prepares your child to receive the Sacraments of Initiation as well as Reconciliation.

After completing the program, your child will continue with their faith formation sessions through Eighth grade with their grade level.

Marriage

The Sacrament of Marriage is a covenant which God establishes between and woman for a partnership of their whole lives.  Please contact the parish office at 630-894-2461 for information on Marriage preparation and scheduling.
